I tested it and it works. I depends if we are talking about the same thing though. This is the parent node for all categories. When doing the modification you have to upload the file, and re add the menu item in the theme settings (navigation tab) that is now called whatever you renamed it to (it's under the Categories title for the "Items that can be added to the navigation").

I'm considering adding a labels field to the theme settings navigation system, just like the wp menu admin got, but for now you got to change some code to rename the categories top menu item.

1. Edit theme-settings.php (in library/admin).
2. Search for: <li id="cats_
3. Rename the 2 occurrences of Categories on that line.

Hi!

I would like to have only one column of categories and/or archives months displayed in my sidebar. At the moment there are two columns. How could I accomplish that? (That is how I would like it to be: http://www.shangri.pl/category/przygotowania/ )

Thanks in advance

Sorry to bother you really, but I have done the whole process over and over again and doesnt seem to fix the problem. I create a page (ARCHIVES) that will be the PARENT page for all the other categories pages.

I copy the file thumbnails.php from the BF theme to the child theme folder and rename it to category.php

I add the code you put above and chose thumbnails template in page atributes. I refresh safari and still the same problem. It shows all posts plus the pages.

I updated it and still have the same problem.
If you go to ARCHIVES, it shows all CATEGORIES and also all the PAGES. Try going to page 12 then. You will see the FORUM, the ARCHIVES page again, even the YOUR MESSAGES!!

Please any other idea?

In the filter function you can add this to move the meta above the image (right before returning the array):

$thumbpost['image'] = $thumbpost['meta'] . $thumbpost['image'];

Good morning, I am not able to attach a screenshot. However, this is what I want to do. On the static frontpage you have this shortcode [ bfthumbs category="portfolio" numposts="3" ] which pulls the thumnail images from the category of your blog. Instead of thumbnails from categories of the blog spread three across, I would like to add images of the individual blog contributors instead and when each person posts a blog it's title shows up with the assigned thumbnual image.

Hello,

I am working on a site http://www.dionevanslive.com/ojb and there is a section that says blog topics at the bottom. I know the bfthumbs code, but it only pulls from one category. I want to be able to have a categories show up side by side and an associated image with the category it pulls. I also do not want that thumbnail to be 255 x 100 as the others are, I want it to be 100 x 100 for each 6 thumbnails side by side. Thank you!
