Ok, this is my first upgrade of a theme (any theme). I created a child theme with topart and have it activated and all is good. So when I do the upgrade do I just replace the current BigFeature files (the old version) with the new version? And because I have the child theme activated my CSS stylesheet and functions php should stay the same? (I have modifications in both of course and don't want to loose anything).

I am sure this is simple but since I have never done an upgrade yet I am stressing out about it.

Oh, and would it be better to upgrade to WP 3.0 before or after the upgrade?

Hi, I name my BigFeature folders with the version number so i can upload a new version and have the option to revert back... and I seem to have issues with child themes - Might that be related? do i have to name the BigFeature folder the way it is in the original download for the child theme to work properly?

Sorry for posting twice (once on TF) but I just found this forum

I’m attempting to center the top menu bar, I have been looking into the issue, and apparently I need to add a new div to put the menu li inside of, so that I can use a span for the links and center the text menu items. (at least that is what I gathered)

I would like to know how to center it and/or where to add the div to wrap the menu in. The header.php references another area, and I don’t know where the Html is for the menu.

Would anyone mind pointing me to the right php file or have any tips?

What is the best way to add or edit custom CSS to change a whole bunch of font faces and sizes? I have CSSEDIT and have poked around in both styles.css and optionstyles.css, but I don't understand who is over-riding whom. For example, I changed H1 size to 28px under theme options but can't find where that shows up in either of the two css files I mentioned.

Thanks for your advice.

Hi Roger,

I am playing with the alignment of the search box and am having trouble getting it to respond to the commands.
This is how my page currently appears: http://ecoburst.net/imgs/navqu.jpg

What I would like to do is have the search box on the very right of the screen, that is, after the text.

My code looks like this:

#topheader ul.navigation.navsimple li.last a { border-right: none; }
#headerstuff { padding: 0 50px; }
#top .inside { background-color:#fff; padding: 18px 0; border-top: 1px solid #ccc; border-bottom: 1px solid #ccc; border-right: 1px solid #999; border-left: 1px solid #999; }
#top ul.navigation { width: auto; margin: 5px 0 0 50px; float:right; margin-right: 350px; }
#top ul.navigation a { color: #aaa; }
ul.navigation.navsmall li a { border-right: 1px solid #999; }
#searchcontainer { float:right; margin-right: 50x;}
#searchcontainer .searchicon { margin: 3px 0 0 3px; }
#searchcontainer .searchbox { height: 22px; background-color: #ccc; border:none; }
.searchform .searchfield { padding: 2px; background-color: #ccc; }

I've tried researching this problem on the net and through this forum, but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Hi,

does anybody use the new child theme "bfwide" (http://www.vfxdude.com/downloads/), too?

It works fine, but if the navigation (set to "boxes") has a sub-menu, the border/the box of this navigation item has not the height of the other boxes:

http://i45.tinypic.com/2lwafk5.jpg

Everywhere, where there's a sub-menu (see the arrow beside the navigation item!), the box of this item is smaller.

Firebug wasn't a help for this :-(

Thanks for any idea.

Hi there,

got a problem with the CSS of easy contact in IE6, IE7 and IE8. On the top of the fieldsets is a 10px overlapping/overflow of the grey background. Is that a bug? How can I fix that? I'm trying around for more than one hour, now.

It comes up for a split second while loading and then seems to get overwritten by the content. Tried it with IE 6 & 8 with the same result. Check it at http://gracebeliever.com

First I want to thank you for this great theme! It's really awsome and I can't wait to release my website into public. At this time I'm still using version 1.2

Since I want to use the cufon font for header of the sidebar widgets and also have problems with the portfolio articles showing up in the "normal" blog section I'm interested in the new version 1.3.

But will the installation of this new version delete all the changes I've already made in the CSS-file and the other php-templates? What can I do to keep these files and get the improvements as well?
