there's no functionality/plugin for this as far as I know. One can be coded, but this will be a custom hired job. I don't have time for a job like this now...but can give some pointers. Use the wp_insert_post_data filter to write data to the nextgen DB tables.

ok.
Lets say if i am making a new post with inserting a photo.(just one photo)
By using the tag or category feature(if there is), i want this photo or post also goes to my photo gallery.

I have a gallery called "Black and White Photography". and i have a black and white photograph that i just want to upload in the gallery, but just by making a post and make a tag, like "black and white". so i am wondering if there is a way to make a nextgen gallery with whatever post that has "black and white" tag.
(probably i can live without this, but when i upload a photo, i want to upload to my flickr account also..that is why i want to do it in post)

i also asked about this in nextgen forum, and it seems like no one knows...

all images/videos added as default (not inserted into the editor) is resized to fit the container. This is a design choice. You can always insert the video into the post editor in any size though.

Ok - I used the pro player functionlity instead and it looks great - problem solved - although I WOULD like to be able to embed videos in the posts themselves and not have them auto-shrunk.....so if you can hypothesize about why that is happening and how it may be fixed, it would be much appreciated still!

I'm actually having the exact same problem as above - the video - when I use the embed code in the post editor itself (in this case from TED conference) shows up re-sized and way too small.

Alternatively, when I use the embed within the big feature settings options beneath the post, the video shows up per the desired size (per the paramaters set in the embed code) YET....it gives a very big empty space between the top of the post title - and the video itself. (i.e. - readers will have to scroll down uncomfortably to even see there is a post associated with the video)

Here is an example -

http://lifemasterylabs.com/2010/09/body-brain-and-bliss/

(this blog is only now going live - and this post is "hidden" to the public - but I have a broadcast to a newsletter list planned for this post - so I would like to see it work properly)

As a quick aside - on single pages with NO sidebar- I'm also NOT having the page title show up on the page itself, I've been manually editing titles into the post body itself using h1 tags...not sure why these things are occuring - love the theme otherwise - and really want to use on this project!

Thanks so much -

and it is working fine until when i click on the thumbnail, the videos posts and photos wont pop-up. they just goes to the actual post page. Did u use any code for this pop-up play?
Also how did you create "--------------------" line like what you have on that bfthumb page?

Hi,
I would like to help you with this issue.
in BF you have the ability to create multiple navigation and use them where ever you want. (you need a bit knowledge of php though for this, but in bfnav 2 extra nav were added by author already, so you can use them without any code modifications.)

To use this feature you need to do this:
go to Appearance -> theme settings -> Navigation
in second last block called " Navigation options" check "Enable the multiple navigation functionality" and Save settings.
Once the page reloads , you will see a PLUS "+" icon next to Navigation, you need to click it and name it "Topnav" , then drag and drop stuff in this navigation.(see this video on how to drag/drop).
Same applies to Footernav navigations.
I hope it helps.

hello,
i am just trying to use bfnav theme. On the instrudtion txt file,

4. Create a new navigation called Topnav. Add categories (or whatever you want) to the navigation.
5. Create a new navigation called Footernav. Add pages/links to it. and save the settings.

what is that mean my "creating a new navigation", are you talking about making a new menu page named "Topnav".?

Also is there a tutorial about how to make the submenu(design, featured, video) like i see in http://www.vfxdude.com/blog2/blog/ ??

Even though this is a great theme, i guess i still have to get used to the wordpress and this theme.

yes, aelene11, that is the way to enable cufon for the sidebar (and cufon for the h2 tag must be enabled too).

got a "page not found" on that link. If you insert too large images into the post it can overlap the sidebar. This is changed in the coming version though, since I have added a max-width on the images, however the images should be resized to fit the content area (or the sidebar width).

Hi,
I am having trouble with the sidebar not replacing with the default cufon. In settings,
"Use Cufon font replacement for" -> i checked on "site name", "article heading h1" and "h2"
Is there anyway to fix this?
Also, i have problem with the sidebar overlapping the post or an image when i post without image uploader. Is there a way i can fix it so the sidebar always does not overlap with my post even though i post an larger image?

the default images and videos comes at the top of the post, because it can span over the sidebar. For the videos/images that constrain to the content width the code can be changed so that it comes below the title, but there is no setting for this. You can add the video into the post instead though to achieve this. Add a <!--more--> tag after the video to include it on the frontpage of the blog, or write an excerpt to only show it in the single view.

ok i know what it couldnt display the right size. I tested out today again by making every videos as 500 px by 281. The post of the video gets smaller only if i post videos using the proplayer in post tab (where the paragraphs align etc stuffs are)

If i just type this manually in video section in "Big Feature Post Setting" when i post
Ex, [pro-player width="500" height="281"]http://vimeo.com/8567770[/pro-player]

it was fine.

is the latest post smaller? in the blog? sounds fishy. Can you post a url (or email it to me)? The videos are added in the video input field below the post/page editor. More info here: http://www.vfxdude.com/bigfeature/2009/10/faq/#videocode

Hello
i have been posting some stuff on my blog and i realized that even though i use the size on embed script which is width 500 by height 281, the latest post gets smaller. Is there any options to fix this? also where is the option to put the video as the feature image?

thanks
