well, then you have to check that the template is set in the yarpp plugin and that the "Show related posts as thumbnail posts" theme setting is enabled.

If you are adding the code in a child theme you have to copy the yarpp-template-bf.php file over to the child theme folder. And you might have to enable the "Display using a custom template file" in the yarpp settings. The Show "related posts as thumbnail posts" theme setting must also be enabled.

btw, just realised the reason why driftingfocus got a blank site...because the remove_actions function was already in functions.php.

Hi,
I just tried the code above with YARPP, and while it does move the related posts to before the comments, I couldn't get it to be displayed in a thumbnail format. Is it possible to do this: Thumbnail format related posts, before the comments, either by YARPP or the built in function?

Thanks.

the div structure of your website is a bit messed up. There are 2 #headers and 2 #logos, and the #footer is wrapped in a nested div.

I can only answer this question for the original theme though. If you want to create a custom header, you can take a look at the bfNav child theme functions.php for how to do this. I can give the steps here though:

1. Download the topArt child theme.
2. Remove the styles in style.css of the child theme.
3. Add this code to functions.php (of the child theme):

add_action( 'bf_header', 'myHeader' );
add_action( 'wp_head', 'remove_actions' );
function remove_actions() {
 remove_action( 'bf_header', 'headerFeatures' );
 remove_action( 'bf_header', 'bf_navigation' );
}

4. copy the headerFeatures function from theme-functions.php (in library/functions) into the child theme functions.php (at the bottom before the
?>
).
5. Rename headerFeatures to myHeader.
6. Add the navgation to the myHeader function with this code:

bf_navigation();

6. Enable the child theme.
7. Edit the myHeader function to you liking. Add the flash before the navigation, or whatever.

You must revert bigfeature to it's original state for this to work.

If you think this is too complicated and too much programming, then you can add stuff to header.php of bigfeature instead. You can deactivate the navigation in the theme settings and call it from header.php instead, like this:

<?php bf_navigation(); ?>

it's possible. By using the "no sidebar" template for pages, and the custom single functionality for posts. The sidebar must be written to bf_bottom_container hook and the width of the #content div must be adjusted. However there will a problem with the automatic image widths, but feature image and bfthumbs (with a set width) should work fine. Dynamic sidebars is on my to do list though.

related posts without thumbnails appear before the comments, but added the thumbs after the comments for less stuff before the comments. To move them above the comments add this code to functions.php (preferably in a child theme):

Since I prefer one question per topic I changed the title, but will answer them all. The point with a forum is for other users to join in, that is hard if there are so many different questions in one post.

Anyway...Since I changed the title I will answer the ad question first then.

If a plugin got shortcodes, ads can be added to any of the widget areas called Adspaces (with the "BF Page" widget). There is one called "Adspace - Below the article". That one will display ads below the first article on the frontpage and below every article on the single/article page. If the plugin doesn't have a shortcode you can use hooks, like this:

function my_ads() {
wpads(’Test Zone’);
}
add_action('bf_after_article','my_ads', 9);

Add this code in function.php (preferably in a child theme).

The first question is not specific to the theme, since it can be done with css. A tip is to use absolute positioning.

About the dropdown menu appearing below flash...will look into this issue...

btw I think your english is good...it's not my first language either...

I have a few questions:

1.- Instead of having a small logo, I added a big header image. How can I add the search box above the header image. I mean, I've seen sites where the search box appears inside the header image, in the right corner. How can I do that?

2.- How can I rotate ads below the articles? I have more than one banner/amazon widget but I can only use one. I tried a plugin called Wp-Ads but doesn't show anything. So, is there a way to have several ads rotate below the article" so everytime someone loads the website they see a different ad?

3.- The dropdown option on the nav bar is awesome, but if the list is too large, and I have a YouTube video posted on the first post, the dropdown list gets hidden behind the youtube video (or any other flash object for that matter). The solution I need is something similar to the subscribe/share buttons under every post on my website, if you click on it the flash objects dissapear while using that dropmenu. Check it out and you'll see what I mean.

My website is http://the-visitors.net

Thanks for your help, looking forward to your response :)

PS: sorry about my English, it's not my first language :(
