I'm having a real hard time trying to figure this one out. I even asked my friend which is like a master at coding websites.. but said he never done multiple background images, so I'm hoping you can help me out here VFXDUDE.

I'm using the BFNAV child theme.

So basically I'm trying to have a image on top of the page and a image on the bottom as well. So far I am only able to get the top image to work.. but not the bottom.

So this is the working code for the top image:

body { background: #fff url(http://nerwinator.com/wp-content/themes/bfnav/images/texture7.jpg) repeat-x; }

I tried it this way to get the bottom image to show up and it just didn't work:

body {background: #fff url(http://nerwinator.com/wp-content/themes/bfnav/images/texture7.jpg) center top repeat-x, url(http://nerwinator.com/wp-content/themes/bfnav/images/texture7_bottom.jpg) center bottom repeat-x; }

so I'm not sure why it isn't working and hopefully you can help me out to get it to work, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

I inserted a Wordpress gallery today and it's not aligning properly with the rest of the page. I want to move it to the left, but when I looked at the CSS I'm seeing it's being controlled in Embedded Styles. How do I access Embedded Styles to change this?

Here's the code as it is now:

#gallery-1 {
margin: auto;
}
#gallery-1 .gallery-item {
float: left;
margin-top: 10px;
text-align: center;
width: 50%;
}
#gallery-1 img {
border: 2px solid #cfcfcf;
}
#gallery-1 .gallery-caption {
margin-left: 0;

It's the maxwidth functionality, the solution for now is to insert a correct sized image (that is not wider than it's container (in this case col2 that is 381px)).

Or just disable the maxwidth functionality by adding this code to the bottom of functions.php (before the
?>
):

remove_action( 'wp_head', 'imageMaxWidth' );

Then you need to resize all images anyway though, but it will be more clear what the maxwidth functionality does. It's just very hard to make this work in all browsers (well I guess it works fine in all browsers except IE8).

When you post a gallery inside a post and link to the attachment page (ie: [gallery columns="8"] )so each image gets it's own page. The sidebar doesn't show up on those pages for some reason.

Would it be possible for you to fix that in an upcoming release?

I would also love to see a "go to previous /next picture" button on those gallery attatchment pages. Right now there are no buttons for going back to the original post or browse the other images.

Examples:
1. http://egotastic.com/2011/05/fergie-goes-big-and-busty-and-blue-in-paris/fergie-blue-top-paris-02/

Hello,

there's a way to obtain an horizonal images scroll with your theme? I will like to get something like this:

http://ericryananderson.com/recentwork.html

So I will need that the central part can scroll the images. Actually if I'm putting some images on a page/post, I just get them vertically one on the top of the other, I will like to have them all side by side.

And if there's a way to have with your theme a dynamic with, so that if i'm resizing the browser window the menu expand/contract on the left/right side.

Thanks for your help,

Good morning, I am not able to attach a screenshot. However, this is what I want to do. On the static frontpage you have this shortcode [ bfthumbs category="portfolio" numposts="3" ] which pulls the thumnail images from the category of your blog. Instead of thumbnails from categories of the blog spread three across, I would like to add images of the individual blog contributors instead and when each person posts a blog it's title shows up with the assigned thumbnual image.

I also do not want that thumbnail to be 255 x 100 as the others are, I want it to be 100 x 100 for each 6 thumbnails side by side. Thank you!

easier to see what's the problem if you link to your website. if running timthumb directly works (also if you change the with parameter) then timthumb is not the problem. How do you add the default post image? Here's the 4 ways to add it (I recommend to use the first method).

Looks like this may be your problem: [bfthumbs post=54 numposts="3"]
54 is not in quotes
As well, for thumbs to work (found this out yesterday), you have to have default image set to yes for each image (click on media, then on picture, then yes at the bottom).
Hope that helps,
AJ

Thank you. Does that ID get inserted into the SHORTCODE for the bfthumbnail? The shortcode for the bfthumbnail is here... [ bfthumbs category="featured" numposts="3" ]. I tried to edit it with the ID's like you mentioned, but it is not working. This is what I changed it to [bfthumbs post=54 numposts="3"]

The site I am working on is http://www.dionevanslive.com/ojb. On the homescreen I am trying to have each thumbnail (3 going across)each pull a different page. Thanks!

I think I may have it figured out, but I am not sure.

I already had a cache folder with the right settings apparently. I played around with the permissions but it seems like that already was setup correctly. The timtumb folder and cache folder are 755.

"Run the timthumb script directly"

I did that and it worked (could see the pics).

"Make sure GD library is installed on the server."

How do I make sure of that?

"On some server setups the .htaccess file found in the scripts folder can break things. If this happens then renaming/ deleting the .htaccess file should fix things."

There was a .htaccess file in the cache folder. I deleted it. Still no change.

I think it's weird that the feature/thumbs work as they should. Youtube/vimeo videos auto resize inside the content area but images don't.

When I upload a picture I just insert it using full size since the theme resized them automatically. And it works fine on the test site (identical setup) so don't really know what to do.

Any more hints on what I should try / troubleshoot?

yes this is a timthumb issue. just create the cache folder (see the troubleshooting).
