I'm having a real hard time trying to figure this one out. I even asked my friend which is like a master at coding websites.. but said he never done multiple background images, so I'm hoping you can help me out here VFXDUDE.

I'm using the BFNAV child theme.

So basically I'm trying to have a image on top of the page and a image on the bottom as well. So far I am only able to get the top image to work.. but not the bottom.

So this is the working code for the top image:

body { background: #fff url(http://nerwinator.com/wp-content/themes/bfnav/images/texture7.jpg) repeat-x; }

I tried it this way to get the bottom image to show up and it just didn't work:

body {background: #fff url(http://nerwinator.com/wp-content/themes/bfnav/images/texture7.jpg) center top repeat-x, url(http://nerwinator.com/wp-content/themes/bfnav/images/texture7_bottom.jpg) center bottom repeat-x; }

so I'm not sure why it isn't working and hopefully you can help me out to get it to work, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

I inserted a Wordpress gallery today and it's not aligning properly with the rest of the page. I want to move it to the left, but when I looked at the CSS I'm seeing it's being controlled in Embedded Styles. How do I access Embedded Styles to change this?

Here's the code as it is now:

#gallery-1 {
margin: auto;
}
#gallery-1 .gallery-item {
float: left;
margin-top: 10px;
text-align: center;
width: 50%;
}
#gallery-1 img {
border: 2px solid #cfcfcf;
}
#gallery-1 .gallery-caption {
margin-left: 0;

When you post a gallery inside a post and link to the attachment page (ie: [gallery columns="8"] )so each image gets it's own page. The sidebar doesn't show up on those pages for some reason.

Would it be possible for you to fix that in an upcoming release?

I would also love to see a "go to previous /next picture" button on those gallery attatchment pages. Right now there are no buttons for going back to the original post or browse the other images.

Examples:
1. http://egotastic.com/2011/05/fergie-goes-big-and-busty-and-blue-in-paris/fergie-blue-top-paris-02/

Hello,

there's a way to obtain an horizonal images scroll with your theme? I will like to get something like this:

http://ericryananderson.com/recentwork.html

So I will need that the central part can scroll the images. Actually if I'm putting some images on a page/post, I just get them vertically one on the top of the other, I will like to have them all side by side.

And if there's a way to have with your theme a dynamic with, so that if i'm resizing the browser window the menu expand/contract on the left/right side.

Thanks for your help,

I know the bfthumbs code, but it only pulls from one category. I want to be able to have a categories show up side by side and an associated image with the category it pulls. I also do not want that thumbnail to be 255 x 100 as the others are, I want it to be 100 x 100 for each 6 thumbnails side by side. Thank you!

Thank you. Does that ID get inserted into the SHORTCODE for the bfthumbnail? The shortcode for the bfthumbnail is here...

Hey Vfxdude, in BigFeature 1.4.0.3 did you make it so images inside blog posts don't auto resize anymore? I found that feature very useful. I loved not having to manually resize images that bleed into the sidebar.

Hi, I would like to know how I could get images in my post that are 100px wider than the content wrapper for everything else like titles/ meta data etc.

The problem is that the images are in a p class, just like the text. So if I apply padding the p class the images will get padded too.

And if I make the content width smaller the max-size of the images gets smaller too.

so how can I make the images in the post 100px wider than the rest of my post.

Hi vfxdude!

I have several images of different sizes that I'd like to display on the same page. Right now, I've inserted each image into it's own post and I've also inserted the image url into the thumbnail box of each post too.

I've experimented with the thumbnail and gallery shortcodes, and even loaded the NextGen Gallery plugin to test out the best way to display the images.

I can get the thumbnails to show up on my Gallery page, but using thumbnails cuts off parts of each picture.

The sample that looks like it will work the best is your first gallery:

[galleria name="299" type="post" width="600" height="500" caption="false"]

That's because it looks like it fully displays the images in their correct size. However, when I use the shortcode above, I just get a black box so I'm obviously doing something wrong.

If the images I have are in 3 different categories - soul symbols, signature art, and mandala art, what should I be writing in the short code to get the gallery above to work?

Or, is there something else I need to do with the images themselves within each post?

Thank you!

Need some help regarding the content width. Within the content width section, I'd like to have certain aspects to be more narrow than the full content width. I want to have the post pictures (and default images) and the actual post text to be more narrow than the content width. Currently, the theme is set up so that the content width controls everything. Is there a way to "separate out" certain parts of the content section to be auto-resized narrower?

For example, (see example at http://www.highsnobiety.com)
Content width (let's say 600px)
- post heading
- meta data info
- border between posts

Content width - 40 px (ie, 560px, which is more narrow):
- post text
- default images
- all other post images

(FYI: I'm using a child theme BFNav)

Any code/location or advice would be much appreciated.

Great theme... thanks!

Heya,

I'm not sure if this is an issue with the theme, or if it's specifically a browser issue. A friend of mine who uses Opera to browse, said that the images in my blogroll don't resize to fit in the container. I know that those images are external links. They resize fine in Firefox though.

Is it a CSS thing that needs to be set per browser? Or is it some other issue that I know nothing about?

I would Like to know how I can have the images for my posts appear featured above the post title even if they are smaller than the 528px minimum width.
Almost all of my blog post pictures will be only 280px wide.
Please advise,

If I chose the style "framed" in general theme options for images in post there is a little bug.

The images are not exactly align center in the frame.

It is a little problem if there are images in use which are having another aspect ration than 1 : 1. Or if they are bigger for example nearly the whole with of the post.

Is it possible to fix it or is it a problem of my theme settings?

the images for my slider are not resizing. I am using images that are well within the scope most are about 1600 x 1200. i read the sticky announcements, wasn't too sure if this is what you were talking about. i have watched your video many times and have done exactly what you do and have read the page template articles and such. anything else i need to do. the slider is working fine, but my images are being cut off, like they are too big. any suggestions.

Hi all!

There is something I can't understand.

When I post an image (528px) in an article, this image is NOT thumbed in the front page except if I check "Default Image".
But if I do that, the image appears twice in the article : above the title and in the article.

I would like the image to appear only once in the article and that it appears thumbed in the frontpage.

How can I do that?

How do I put a border around the thumbnail images? I've added a border to the main image but can't add to the thumbnails images - they have no custom class, so are just a img (which means if I add it to that, I'll get a border around everything!)

Just wondering where in the theme I can go to put a class on these images so I can define this in css.

Thanks,
Rebecca

I can't seem to add an image to a post. I followed your directions in the video tutorial. I simply cannot figure out how it works. Can you (or someone) please provide step by step detailed instructions on adding images to posts...... a feature image, a couple of images in the text, etc. thanks.
