Hi,

postimages worked fine until I update to the latest bigfeature 1.3.5.2 and WP 3.
Now neither the default WP 3 post image is showing above the headline nor the formerly working Image URL entered in Big Feature Post Settings.

What can I do to show either the image entered in the BF settings or use standard WP 3 post image?

Thanks,
Andreas

Hey Vfxdude,

Thanks again for a super theme! I wonder if it's possible to do the following things:

1. Add a bfslider as a feature image using the post's gallery or nextgen.
2. Have meta for posts in certain categories and no meta in other (portfolio posts should be without date etc, only in blog)
3. Chose what meta to use in bfthumbs and move them after excerpt
4. Move the post meta above the post title
5. Excluding certain categories in the category listing widget

What I'm currently working on http://www.osbeck.tv/Butzi/

I've got a question as in how do I remove the sidebar content from the post page itself, Not the blog page.

When viewing each particular post, there will be no side bar on the right. Just purely content taking up the full width space.
Do i remove all my widget? or is there a alternative to this?

-----------

My another question is how do i add a little border on all my pictures or video?
here's a sample of the border around the picture I'm referring to.

I've tried playing around with the Stylesheet, but still nothing around my picture and video.
side note : Photo, video.etc will be uploaded from a external hosting site. does not have to be from the sited hosting itself.

Would appreciate if anyone could help =D
Thank you for your time in reading.

It is a good way for my blog to insert a fix boxstyle to the end of each post. So there is more recurring action for my readers.

I will use the boxstyle to list the useful links for example.

In which way I can insert it in which sript?

Do you have a code snippet for me?

Hello,

is it possible to style a post to look just like this page

http://www.vfxdude.com/bigfeature/2009/06/vector-illustration-artwork-in-web-design/

I want the post to have max width for Image on top 900x400

i do want a sidebar as well to have a size of 270.( the slider will be located under the image to the lower right side just like in the link i provided.

This is easier to do as a page as there are page templates, but when I attempt to make this as post, I can't set the main image to that size because the side bar is located on the upper right and it automatically scale the top image and all subsequent images in the post.

Thanks

Hi,

I have read your tutorial concerning the slider here:

http://www.vfxdude.com/bigfeature/2009/08/the-bf-slider/

It works fine, if I add just images to this slide "pages".

But what I still haven't understand is, how to add an excerpt of a post to this slider, like you have done it with the headline text: "At vfxdude we speak in code and dream in colors" in this example page:

http://www.vfxdude.com/bigfeature/example-pages/frontpage/

Could you please explain again, how to add an post's excerpt with an image and text like you have done it in this example?

I have:

1 parent page "startslider"

then 6 children pages, linking to "startslider", called "startslide1", "startslide2", ...

Each "startslide"-page has an image from the media library in it. So far, so good, it works fine.

But I still don't know, how to get an image, headline and text in such a children page, that links to an existing posting.

Thanks for any help.

#1: I can't figure out why the only post that will show an image is "WNC" on this page. The posts text shows but not the image. WNC is the only post that has no image code installed into the post. I created it when I was following your video so I don't remember how you did that. I did choose "default" image for all of images when I inserted into post.

The images show on the posts on the blog page but not on portfolio (or homepages when I was testing them).

#2: What I'd like to do is use this as the sponsor page to display logos. There won't be any text. However, there might be a better option -- I really don't want people to click the link to the post and see just an image. I'd still like to resolve the above but do you have a better alternative for what I want to do? I already have a gallery page with their pics so didn't really want to do another page that looks the same.

#3: Your portfolios are set up to show the posts for the "portfolio" category, however, these also get posted to the blog. Is there a way to make the portfolio posts to only show on the portfolio (for me "sponsors") page?

Thanks!

Hi,

when I choose a page, the page name is highlighted in the navigation (--> "navigation current color")

But when I'm reading a special post, in the navigation nothing is highlighted.
So the user only knows, where he is, when I enable the breadcrumbs.

Is it possible in anyway, that the navigation item "blog" is highlighted when reading in a blog post?

Thanks.

I can't seem to add an image to a post. I followed your directions in the video tutorial. I simply cannot figure out how it works. Can you (or someone) please provide step by step detailed instructions on adding images to posts...... a feature image, a couple of images in the text, etc. thanks.
