Katie was on Joomla (BOO!) but has all this amazing photography. BF gave her so much incredible functionality out of the box to create custom pages based on diet, ingredient, prep-time, etc. Since moving to BF (and adding all these awesome new pages) - even with the same core content traffic is up, page views WAY up, and time on site WAY up.

Thanks Nephilim :) My custom.css-file is a bit messed up with stuff I am or have been testing, so I advice you to use FireFox in conjunction with Firebug, as this is way better to get a good overlook over the CSS-formating of my page.

As for the php, I've only altered the functions.php-file in the bfarea child theme by moving the navbar to the top of the page.

If you've got some specific questions about my page I will answear to the best of my ability.

create a new navigation in theme setting by pressing the green plus sign (if it's not there then enable multiple navigations below).

Use Firebug. Searching in the code is so time wasting. Everything can be overriden in the child theme stylesheet by coping from firebug and altered.

Cant's see any repeating feature images though. It can happen if you also insert it into the post/page editor.

Ok, hopefully these are my last questions...

The site is getting along, but I still have a few problems. I can't seem to get the social nav working... I followed the readme.txt but still no prevail. I'm unclear on why I need to do step 3 (readme.txt). Step 4 says to add the links you just created to the nav and save settings, but I can't find where to do that. I can add a custom link.. but they don't have a connection to the interface menu "Links" (to my knowledge). Help would be much appreciated.

Then, I want to move the footer text down a pixel or two and also center it... but can't find it in either stylesheet. I can change it's color in #footer of the bfarea stylesheet but other than that, I'm clueless. If I could get the actual line number or something it'd be great.. I'm still just getting a handle of this child theme stuff.

Lastly, on this page the feature image repeats it self twice. I want it to be an archive of the sites posts... but have the same feature image as this page. Oh and at the moment it's a page using the "blog posts" template. Any thoughts?

you don't have to do anything in functions.php, but if you want to move the navigation you can change things around in the customHeader function (there's 2 bf_navigation calls there). Example:

move these lines below the (topheader and cwidth divs):

<div id="social"><?php bf_navigation("socialnav","navsmall"); ?></div>
</div><div class="clear"></div></div>

You create a page, and add a shortcode in the Feature HTML field below the editor. It can be any shortcode, bfslider, nivoslider, bfthumbs, galleria etc.
