Hey again, I cannot get this to work, I can use the new post thumbnail function in the right column when creating a post. But it will still not change the zoomcrop, it is still topleft... even if I delete the images and repost them!

Thanks

first off, the post thumbnail / use as thumbnail is not only for thumbnail posts, but also normal posts in the blog with feature/content size. Since there is already a default post image set as "post thumbnail" is overriden by that one. You have to remove the url (or set is as not default in the uploader first). It would probably make sense to make the "post thumbnail" override the other one set though, so I will change that. btw, in WP3.0 they have renamed the "post thumbnail" to "feature image", which makes more sense.

Are you using that shortcode for the thumb posts on the frontpage? They have the default topleft zoomcrop though.

I did not work, I did get the thumbnail changer in the right column when you edit a post but it does not listen to [bfthumbs category="front" zoomcrop=”center" numposts="3"]
You can have a look on http://www.karlstedtmotorsport.com (it's in swedish)

you can upload only the library folder. It might not work, it depends what version you upgrade from. Some stuff will lack it's style if you don't upgrade style.css. I highly recommend to move the changes to a child theme, because there will be new versions with more good stuff.

Hello, first of all, big thanks for a super theme!

I have a site with a lot of edited php and css and would like to do an upgrade, well mostly I want to be able to use the zoom crop for bfthumbs, is there any way to update only that part without loosing any of my changes to the other files?

Best Regards,

use ftp. All hosting accounts have ftp. I recommend to use filezilla. Overwrite the bigfeature in themes folder (or delete the current theme and use the wordpress theme installer).

When upgrading you overwrite all the files, so changes get lost. The solution is to create a child theme, then all the changes will be protected.

style.css and functions.php will not override the parent theme (just add to it), but if any template files is added to the child theme there might be upgrading issues, but those can be updated if necessary.

First I want to thank you for this great theme! It's really awsome and I can't wait to release my website into public. At this time I'm still using version 1.2

Since I want to use the cufon font for header of the sidebar widgets and also have problems with the portfolio articles showing up in the "normal" blog section I'm interested in the new version 1.3.

But will the installation of this new version delete all the changes I've already made in the CSS-file and the other php-templates? What can I do to keep these files and get the improvements as well?
