will look into that IE8 transition issue. since you are using the page slider you can insert the images without a link (or remove them in the html view of the editor). about the lightbox plugin, it probably automatically inserts a rel="lightbox" to the links wrapping the image, but if you remove the links the problem will go away. You can also change the setting of the plugin not to atomatically add the rel properties to image links.

Additional info:

Tried deleted the following lines of code from a previous post. That did not help. I didn't really want to go and disable all the plugins, because most of them are a useful part of the site. I've got it working in Chrome, FF, but there is just that little issue on IE8.

yep something is messed up in IE8. could be that image resizing script (a problem script that has been fixed in the new version coming soon). You can remove these lines in theme-functions.php (in the library/functions folder) to see if that helps:

add_action('init', 'bf_imagefit_script');
add_action('wp_footer', 'bf_imagefit');

I this doesn't change things I would deactivate all plugins and check. And also test with with the unmodified original theme (not from the child theme).

Also... is there a way to disable links in the slider? So that the only option is to switch the slides with the arrow buttons?

edited to add... the other problem I am dealing with is that only some of my images on the posts, slider etc... are opening as lightbox. I have the lightbox 2 plugin installed. Any help there?

I really love the theme. Great work!

please view http://www.gundogfusion.com
Slider seems to be working nicely on Firefox, but some of the images have strange transitions on IE8. Also, only the first image will open up as a lightbox image? Where am I going wrong?
