that's right, but there is a hack you can do to change this. In index.php

replace this:

get_image('feature')

with this:

get_image('feature',false,200)

This will set the max height of the frontpage feature images to 200px.

the "normal dedault image max height" works only with other pictures on the frontpage but not the big one at the top. so i can´t see a full size image on the post page and a half the size image on the top on the frontpage?

bombob: you can set maxheight for normal images in the theme setting: "Normal default image max height". If the post on the frontpage is normal size and the one on the post page (single post view) is feature the heights will be different (since featured size images will not be affected by the max height setting).

1. The one you downloaded should be the latest version. Version 1.3.4.3. You can check the version in the top of style.css

2. The feature image will be shown over the sidebar when it's at least the container width (860px in your case). The thumbnails below the first post can be turned off with the "Show older posts on the blog frontpage as thumbnail posts" setting (it is off by default). Read this article for description of every theme setting.

Your sidebar should be wider to fit the search box. The featured posts width can be set in the widget.

Category Visibility can be used to hide posts from the blog, when used in a page template. This plugin got some bugs, so a better one is the Advanced Category Excluder. You don't have to use the blog and the page templates together, read this for more information about this.

2 questions:

1. Where can I get the link to upgrade to 1.3.4.? Just downloaded from my account at themeforest and overwritten my files, but still getting 1.3.3. I feel daft, but I still need help.

2. I love the many hidden features of this theme, however I want my home page to look like http://www.vfxdude.com/bigfeature/ as in the posts. At the moment my blog posts are displaying as thumbnails http://zedcloud.com/ and I don't want that. I have played around with the frontpages section; selected 'blog posts' on the page templates, but still no luck.

In the forum someone talked about using a category visibility plugin, but I should have thought this theme with its 'one-clickable' solutions this would be simple?
