all images/videos added as default (not inserted into the editor) is resized to fit the container. This is a design choice. You can always insert the video into the post editor in any size though.

Ok - I used the pro player functionlity instead and it looks great - problem solved - although I WOULD like to be able to embed videos in the posts themselves and not have them auto-shrunk.....so if you can hypothesize about why that is happening and how it may be fixed, it would be much appreciated still!

:-)

I'm actually having the exact same problem as above - the video - when I use the embed code in the post editor itself (in this case from TED conference) shows up re-sized and way too small.

Alternatively, when I use the embed within the big feature settings options beneath the post, the video shows up per the desired size (per the paramaters set in the embed code) YET....it gives a very big empty space between the top of the post title - and the video itself. (i.e. - readers will have to scroll down uncomfortably to even see there is a post associated with the video)

Here is an example -

http://lifemasterylabs.com/2010/09/body-brain-and-bliss/

(this blog is only now going live - and this post is "hidden" to the public - but I have a broadcast to a newsletter list planned for this post - so I would like to see it work properly)

As a quick aside - on single pages with NO sidebar- I'm also NOT having the page title show up on the page itself, I've been manually editing titles into the post body itself using h1 tags...not sure why these things are occuring - love the theme otherwise - and really want to use on this project!

Thanks so much -

Ian

videos you insert into the video input field (in the "Big Feature Post Settings" area) will be re sized, but not the ones added to the post editor.

ok i know what it couldnt display the right size. I tested out today again by making every videos as 500 px by 281. The post of the video gets smaller only if i post videos using the proplayer in post tab (where the paragraphs align etc stuffs are)

If i just type this manually in video section in "Big Feature Post Setting" when i post
Ex, [pro-player width="500" height="281"]http://vimeo.com/8567770[/pro-player]

it was fine.

is the latest post smaller? in the blog? sounds fishy. Can you post a url (or email it to me)? The videos are added in the video input field below the post/page editor. More info here: http://www.vfxdude.com/bigfeature/2009/10/faq/#videocode

Hello
i have been posting some stuff on my blog and i realized that even though i use the size on embed script which is width 500 by height 281, the latest post gets smaller. Is there any options to fix this? also where is the option to put the video as the feature image?

thanks
