Just throwing this out there...

It would be REALLY cool if there was a way to slide the image around...
giving us the ability to CHOOSE which section of the image we want shown as the thumbnail.

The cropped thumbnail doesn't always look the greatest when it's just the top half of a photo...
the ability to center the image in the thumbnail window would be an excellent feature.

I know I can actually CROP photos this way with the Wordpress photo editor...
but does TimThumb have a similar feature?

well, I'm considering to release a 1.3.5 version before that with some of the 1.4 functionality, just because that list is way too large.

When using the feature slider with excerpt it is possible to adjust the height of the image. However, the picture is adjusted so the default ratio stays. This causes that the slider-hight is (when using posts and not pages) sometimes higher or smaller, which looks odd.

I would recommend using the zoom function of timthumb. In the shortcode I would give an exact hight and width of the image and the thumbnail is then zoomed in, in order to match the given size.

Is it possible to change that in the functions?
