On my blog I have a one post with almost 1 k comments. and I would like to implement somehow paginated comments only for that post...

Can anyone give me an idea where to start?

Hi,
If you go to Settings, Discussion in wp admin panel you can change this in Other comment settings: Break comments into pages with top level comments per page and the page displayed by default ...
