äöü-characters are not shown with cufon fonts

Hi,

I need for the German language characters like "ä", "ö" and "ü".
I used the font "CaviarDreams" and it has definitely these characters (http://www.dafont.com/caviar-dreams.font), I tested it on this site.

Then I uploaded the font files to http://cufon.shoqolate.com/generate/ and activated

- Uppercase
- Lowercase
- Numerals
- Punctuation
- WordPress punctuation
- Basic Latin

as mentioned in your tutorial (http://www.vfxdude.com/bigfeature/2009/08/cufon-font-replacement/).

Even so, the German characters (ä, ö ü) are not shown in BigFeature theme.

What went wrong?

ok, I got it.

@ all Germans ;-)

You need to activate at http://cufon.shoqolate.com/generate/:

- Uppercase
- Lowercase
- Numerals
- Punctuation
- WordPress punctuation
- Basic Latin

and - very important! - "Latin-1 Supplement", too!

Only then you get the German "Umlaute": ä, ö, ü
