I'd like to add an outer div container to the slider to include a titling background. I'm using a the "bfwide" child theme. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Add something like this to the editor:

Reduce the width to make room for paddings/margins. There's an example of this here. With the category slider you can use the imagewidth and imageheight parameters too.
Gotcha. I'd actually like to have the container set to 100%. I'm currently using a large background image. Check out the example for reference. A custom function perhaps?

yes you can create a custom function like the customHeader one. Example:

add_action( 'bf_top', 'featuredArea' );Then add the background image to #featured-area id. and change 32 to the id of the page with the bfslider shortcode (this can be the parent page in the slides hierarchy).
Almost there: Loveable Labradoodles. The parent page of the slide hierarchy is called "Sliders." How do is figure out its id?

Illusio's sites are an inspiration.. I am trying to do the same thing..I want to use the code above but when I put it into the functions php for Topart, the slider appeared above my header (logo and nav).
I would be grateful to know where to put this code..
