Hello Vfxdude,

Hope all is well with you.
I have a problem with the bfslider

this is my code

[bfslider sid="bfslider-1317072757" name="slideshow" width="600" height="400" animation="fade" auto="false"]

I have created my pages with the images all under the page "slideshow"
however when I add the code to my page, the page is not loading. It stops at the menu level.
I have the qTranslate plugin installed (not sure if this is causing the problem) although when I deactivate the plugin the problem persists.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

are the images in child pages of the slideshow page? (inserted into the editor).

test with the category slider to see if the slider works: type="category" name="categoryname"

yes the images are in child pages.
I've just tried it with the category slider and it works!
very interesting.... why the page is not working though?
Well I guess now that the category slider works I can work around it...

OK here you go:

the code on my home page is:
[bfslider sid="bfslider-1317162567" type="page" name="slideshow" width="980" height="260" marginbottom="10" auto="false"]

I have created a page called "slideshow" and then two children pages called "first" and "second"

in the first page the in html mode I've added the following:

and on the second page again in html mode

As mentioned this happens when I use type="page" however when I use a post and type="category" it works fine!
the page is not loading and it stops at the navigation level...

Everything seems fine. I recreated this with the exact same page names and code and it works for me. I used this shortcode:

[bfslider sid="bfslider-test" name="slideshow"]

The type="page" is not necessary since it's default (and it's not added by the shortcode GUI either). There could be a conflict with the parent page name, test with renaming it.

You can test with the sample content that can be downloaded here (choose to import the images). After import you can delete the posts imported, but you will have slider pages. Test with this shortcode:

[bfslider sid="bfslider-test" name="slides"]

I've tried renaming and it didn't work. It worked with the sample code though so problem solved!
