I'm feeling dumb. I've got my posts categorized by thinks like "Portfolio," "Design," "Blog" etc., but ALL of the posts are going into the blog and when you say "create a category" to restrict them I'm unclear what you mean since I've already categorized them. Suggestions please? (LOVE your hard work on this theme.)

adminif you are using one of the page templates you can add a category custom field to only show posts from that category, like this:
Use the "Blog Posts" template for the Blog category, and the portfolio template for Portfolio category etc. Read this article for more info.
