Hi vfxdude! I have the same issue than funkytime had some months ago. The fact is that the bubble icon for comments used to work and suddenly it didn´t. I have checked "comment icon" in the "post meta information" and also "allow comments" in the settings. Could you please help?
Many thanks in advance!

It doesn't show at all? and where is this (blog index)? with normal posts (not thumb posts)?plugins can mess up the content number, but then the bubble will still show.

Hmmm I think I might have the answer to myself, I will check it with you though:
The blog url is: http://www.perspectivaconica.com
The comments icon used to be present in the summary blog page, not in the "normal" post, as I had selected in the reading settings that the "blog page" should be the landing.
My guess:
In order to have different content in similar blog pages, I uncheked that option and now I have upgraded a couple of categories to the navbar, this may be it, could you confirm to me if the comment icons can be inserted in the category pages? If not, I have the answer ;-)Posted 1 year ago # -
the bfthumbs shortcode is used to display posts on the page you link to and then the comment icon is not used. It is only used with the default layout of the blog. It is possible to configure bfthumbs to use the comment icon. Here's an example of that. If you want a similar post layout as that example I suggest to install the bfct01 child theme and follow the setup instructions in the readme.html that comes with it (it's an import file for the shortcode template that contains the bfthumbs).
