concerning bfthumbs

I tried putting in this code and replacing "design" with my "category" but nothing shows up. I was wondering if you could help me out as to why it doesn't show up? My permalinks are set to "/%category%/%postname%". Does having my permalinks set to this change anything with my bfthumbs coding? Thanks in advance~

I read some of the other posts and I replaced the category with the number, but the category is a sub-category. It's under a main category. Can you help me with displaying the sub-category?

Always, when creating a thumbslider, try the bfthumbs without the slider shortcode first. The category name is the slug, and that can be different from the name displayed. Test with a basic bfthumbs at first:
[bfthumbs category="design"]
