Hi,
First, I love your theme. Congratulations!!
I have several posts under several categories. I would like to show one thumbnail per each of the categories (i.e.:5 categories, 5 thumbnails) and with the title of the category. Is that possible? If so, can I choose to show a specific image from any of the posts?

you can create pages with the right title, default image and text, and show them like this:
[bfthumbs id="43,54,165,78,45"]
to change the links (to link to the category instead of the pages) you can use a redirection plugin or you can copy the html produced by the shortcode and and change it manually (copy in firebug, include from the bfthumbs div and paste it into a page (in html view of the editor)).

My questions is if there is any way to do it automatically. At this moment, in my website http://www.bestplacesin.com I've got 5 categories (mexico, tokyo, moscow...). I would like to show 5 thumbnails, one for each of the categories, with the title of such category ("Mexico", Tokyo", ...) and a specific picture of any of the posts under each category. By the way, I like the "video gallery" thumbnail display with the code [bfthumbs category="video" numposts="3" width="269" height="150" numcols="3" marginright="20" text="false" title="true" cufon="true" popup="true"].
Is there any way of introducing a code so that I don't have to create a page for each of the categories I plan to introduce (I may have 35 categories in few months?

something like this works:
<div class="alignleft">[bfthumbs category="mexico" numposts="1"]</div>
<div class="alignleft">[bfthumbs category="tokyo" numposts="1" offset="2"]</div>
<div class="alignleft">[bfthumbs category="moscow" numposts="1" width="255" numcols="1"]</div>
But creating a custom function that loops through the categories and calls bfthumbs_func is a better solution.
