Hi,

if somebody clicks a link at my website, that no longer exists, he gets a page with sidebar (with recent posts in it) and the titel "Error 404 not found" and some links to archive and categories below.

But:

I would like to create an own Error404-page, with NO sidebar and OWN text, no links to categories.

In which BF-file is this "error404" text included?

Is this possible in any way to create an own page for error404 within Bigfeature (1.4.0.3) - and I use BFnav 1.0.5?

copy the 404.php file from the main theme into the BFnav child theme folder and modify it. Just remove everything inside the content div and add your own stuff.

Just one question for better understanding:

obviously, when I copy the 404.php file into my child theme's folder, then this one is displayed in case of an 404 error.

Is it right, that all php-files inside the child theme's folder have priority in being displayed towards those in the main BF theme folder?
