When I Google fonts, the navigation links do not use the specified Google font. When I use Cufon replacement, the H1 and H2 tags do not get replaced nor take on the colors specified in the theme settings when using the bfct01-blog template. And I still have the issue of the H2 tags not taking the Cufon font replacement in the default page template as well.

bfct01 is a child theme and not a template. many of the styles are overriden in it's style.css so it can't be changed in the theme settings. I will go over the child themes and make it possible to change the colors in the theme settings. The blog post titles (blog frontpage) of this child theme is controlled by bfthumbs layout manager (in the bfct01-blog template) and the cufon must manually be set in the title node. Cufon should work with other heading though. You can also specify css selectors in the "Cufon targets" theme setting (typography tab) what the default cufon should be applied to.

Thanks. I know bfct01 is a child theme and not a template. I was referring to the bfct01-blog template imported using bfct01.templates.xml. I was able to work things out. It just takes some time to wrap my head around this shortcode template system. Thanks for the help!
One more question - can you tell me how to remove the comment icon from the bfct01 blog homepage? I do not have it checked in the theme settings, but it still shows up. I assume it's a setting in the shortcode template but I can't figure it out.
EDIT -- I figured it out. For those looking to do the same, edit the bfct01-blog template. Click on "Insert/Update a Shortcode" under Template Targets and Settings. Select the shortcode blog-home-posts to edit. Click on bfthumbs layout and remove commentlink from the layout.

ah ok. I sometimes read a little too fast. One more question - can you tell me how to remove the comment icon from the bfct01 blog homepage?
Here's how to remove the comment icon:1. Edit the bfct01-blog template.
2. Click the insert/update a shortcode button below the post editor.
3. Select the blog-home-posts shortcode in the "Current Post Shortcodes" list.
4. Click the bfthumbs-layout button.
5. Click the x on the commentlink node to delete it.
6. Press save changes at the bottom. If you also want to remove the comment icon for the category archive, do the steps above for the bfct01-archive-categories template too. In the bfthumbs layout you can add any information to the loop, like meta information or plugins. See this video for more information.
I see now that you figured this out. Gotta read the whole post before I start writing. Anyway, it's good information to be repeated, because I guess many will ask this question now since I have introduced shortcode templates in the new child themes. btw, I redesigned the bfct03 child theme yesterday.

Hi,
Today I´ve upgraded the theme, since I wanted to use the Google Fonts. So far so good. Unfortunately the Lato is not used anywhere (Navigation, Headlines..) Do I have to do anything else? Check or uncheck something?Posted 3 months ago # -
select the font in the dropdown lists at the bottom (typography tab), and also deactivate the cufon fonts at the top.
