   Hi Vfxdude,

   I'm super happy with the theme, and have been making all sorts of fun customizations to my child theme. I'd really love if one feature were available though:

   I'd love the ability to override the default font-size of a post title.

   There are times where the title is just a hare too long to fit on one line, such as this post: http://www.isthisyourhomework.com/not-in-my-house-not-on-my-land/

   The "Land" is the only word on the second line and it looks ugly. Obviously, I can work around this by tweaking the content of my titles, but if there were an easy way to shrink the font-size of that post just a bit, it would look perfect.

   I'm fairly adept at mucking around and making my own changes, but the cufon business has deterred me from looking too deeply in this particular area (I'm sure it's not that hard, I'd just have to get my hands dirty).

   Would you be able to provide any hints at how to manually edit the font-size of a single post, or even better a tip at adding a custom field that I can use for the font-size of a particular post's title, so that I wouldn't have to add a post-specific rule to my CSS? Ultimately, I'd love if such a feature could be rolled into the main theme, as I think people would find it really handy.

   something like this (add to bottom functions.php (preferrably in a child theme)):

   add_action( 'wp_head', 'custom_title_size' );
   function custom_title_size() {
   	global $post;
   	if (is_single())
   		if ($ffsize = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'custom_title_size', true))
   			echo '<style>.post .post-title a { font-size: '.$ffsize.'px; }</style>';
   }

   It checks for a custom_title_size custom field in the post. This is only done in single post view (is_single()). This can be easily be modified.

   This works great for single pages. However, it's not quite right for the main page or archive/tag/category pages.

   I've dropped the 'if (is_single())' in order to have it affect all instances of the post, but that results in two issues.

   - On archive/tag/category pages, only the value for the first post with a custom_title_size is used, and it is used for all posts whether or not they have a custom_title_size set (and it overrides if there are different values for different posts).

   - On the main page, there is no effect at all.

   These were easy enough to fix, but there's still a slight bit of ugliness. Here's what I did:

   1. Instead of hooking into 'wp_head", instead I hooked into "bf_before_post_content". This will cause the style element to be added for each post that is displayed. (see note below on slight ugliness)

   2. In order to get the custom_title_size specific to each post, I added the Post ID to the style descriptor.

   Here's the finished code that is added to my child-theme's functions.php:

if ($ffsize = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'custom_title_size', true))
echo '<style>#post-'.$post->ID.'.post .post-title a { font-size: '.$ffsize.'px; }</style>';

   The only bit of ugliness in this is that the style element gets added *after* the title. This isn't really a problem, it still get's rendered correctly, but what happens is that when the page is rendered it displays the title for an instant at the original size, before re-rendering it at the custom size. This is slightly ugly, and I could fix it by modifying the archive.php, search.php, individual post pages, etc to support more fluidly the new custom_title_size, but I didn't bother with that.

   I really appreciate the help on this, and I love the ability to tweak the heading size. I don't think it would be too hard to add this functionality to the theme (and in a more elegant way that avoids the duplicate rendering), and I know others would find it super useful.

   There's one minor typo bug in there. In the echo line, it should be $cpost->ID, not $post-ID.

   Other than that, this is perfect. Thanks again for the great support on your wonderful theme.

   For anybody following along, the following code allows a custom title size for any post, just by adding a custom field "custom_title_size" with a font-size value to that post:

   
   add_action( 'wp_head', 'custom_title_size' );
