First off, thanks for a great theme!
I would like to implement the simple Javascript workaround for embedded vimeo material, as seen here: http://www.stacyconaway.com/bucket/JS-Vimeo-embed-code-with-notes.pdf
Where can i add the js code? I guess somewhere in the proplayer plugin, since I´m using that one. or?

Thanks for your reply. I realized that javascript was not the right way to go.
I have in a quite clumpsy way implemented a php browser detector in some of the template files. I guess that the best way to do it is in the proplayer, somewhere.
What i would like is to have a condition that said that if it's a embedded video from vimeo and the user is on iphone or ipad ----> insert the <video> tag etc....
Could you please give me a hint how and where that could be done?

well, you can modify the get_image function in theme-functions.php (in the library/functions folder of the BigFeature theme), search for "$proplayer &&". There you can search in the $video string for vimeo and also extract the id from the url. Check the user agent to find what device it is, example:

Hi again.
I almost got it now. But now all embedded videos are replaced with the HTML5 code. I would like to insert that code only if Vimeo is used.
I guess something like: (strstr($url, "vimeo.com"))... But where?
Also. I have problems getting the imgUrl and video variables, for insertion in the HTML5 code.
Please, some last help.

I have got it to work, but maybe a clumpsy solution.
I can't get the if (strpos($video,'vimeo') == true) to work though, only on the ipad/iphone but then the youtube video doesn't show up on other devices.
Is there maybe a better solution?
Another great thing would be to show the preview images of the proplayer in the slider, can that be done?

I might implement a functionality for this though, I have to investigate it a bit more how it works with other video sources than vimeo though. Here's some code:

I really appreciate that you help me. I tried to implement and complete your code but I can't get it to work. I guess that I'll stick to my old solution for now.
What about my other question: How to show the preview images of the proplayer in the slider, can that be done?
Also, tha paging on my site (http://www.plan8.se/wp3) does not work for some reason. Any tips?

yes it is possible. create a new type for the slider and fetch the video posts, and get the video images like in the get_image function.
paging works fine on the page templates, just not when set as static. that code changed nothing. The best solution is to use mod_rewrite or redirection if you want a paged template as the frontpage of the blog. bfthumbs pagination works fine on a static frontpage though, because it's using a custom made ajax script instead of the builtin functionality.

found a solution to the static paging problem, change the way the page variable is set in the template code (portfolio.php for your frontpage):
change this:
$page = (get_query_var('paged')) ? get_query_var('paged') : 1;
to this:
($page = get_query_var('paged')) || ($page = get_query_var('page')) || $page = 1;
