you must also upgrade to the latest version of the theme (1.4.0.3) if you upgrade to Wordpress 3.1. Don't know if it helps your Google Ads though. Are you using a plugin? many plugins also stopped working with WP3.1.

Thanks for the reply. Google had turned off my adds because I had an incomplete account verification. It had nothing to do with the theme.
