there are no widget areas in page templates, only in the header and footer.

Thanks for the answer. But in the widget doc it says:
Below Article – Widget space below the article. scope: front page (index.php) and single post page (single.php).
How can I use it?Or, in pages, how should I display posts under some catagories(without thumbnails)?I mean like archive page but only for certain catagories. Just like "BF featured posts" would do without thumbnails.

I'm not sure where the confusion is, it works as it is stated in the documentation. Add a BF Page or Text widget to that widget area and it will display below the first post on the fronpage on the blog and below every post on single view.
The page templates blogposts/portfolio/photoblog/thumbnails take a category custom field and shows posts only from that category. A category can be added to the navigation too (an example is the documentation listing on the demo website). Read this article for more info. Also recommend to watch this video tutorial to understand stuff better.

Hi guys,
I have just bought the theme.
While playing around with it in order to get it to know, I’ve stumbled across a browser-issue.
I’m not sure, if it’s already known or solved, but I could not find it here on the forum.
So help is very much appreciated…The problems:
1. In general some of the bf-settings/features do not show in Firefox 3.5… but do show on IE, Chrome and Firefox 2.0
2. The widget-content does not get displayed in some of the bf-sidebars (ad-space top of the page, …below the nav) in Firefox 3.5… (I tested with 3.5.2 and 3.5.7)3. Have a look at my testsite: http://echtculture.com/ecke
4. I have not installed any extra widgets so far.
Thanks for help or any guidance in advance
telgoI post it here, because it seems to show some similarity with sinans trouble.

I'm developing with Firefox 3.5.7, and have not seen any of the problems you say. You need to specify what you do. What widgets you add tho the widget areas.

Ok. Let me try to be more specific:
I added to the following sidebars these widgets…Sidebar name: Adspace – Top of the Page
Added widget: text ==> It is not visible on Firefox, but on IE, Chrome or Firefox 2.0Sidebar name: Adspace – Blog below nav
Added widget: BF page, to add slider above first blog post ==> Is not visible on Firefox, but on IE, Chrome or Firefox 2.0The widgets in the main sidebar are visible and working well in all browsers.
I have not added any plugins yet. Thanks for your help, and let me say that I think that your theme is one of the best out there, so keep up the good work.
Cheers telgo

Checked your website with Firefox and all those widget spaces show something. At the top: "Ein Markiertext tauchst DU auf?", below the nav: the text: test and a slider.
A tip is to clear the cache in your browser.

I had the idea with the cache myself, nevertheless tried it again, did not work.
After I checked the site with an other machine, I figured out, it must be local. Now I have found the answer: I use the Adblock plus plugin on firefox, I do not know why, but it seems to generally block these widget spaces.
Thanks for your help

I'm having a problem. I can't seem to get the BF recent posts or the Recent posts widgets to show in the sidebar.
Category visibility seems to be the problem, however, I have added your fix. When I deactivate Category visibility, the recent posts appear just fine.
Please assist.

telgo: hmmm so adblock automatically blocks those. I used that addon for a while, but the problem is that it blocks more stuff than wanted. The reason here is probably that it uses a class called adspace. I might change this.
timlawrence25: all posts in a category excluded from the frontpage will not be shown in widgets either. If it hides all posts, also in other categories, then it's a category visibility bug. Test with the default theme to see if it's the plugin or the theme that is causing this. I have not seen this problem though.
