I want to put next to the ... that you get when front page text limit is set but can't seem to figure it out?

this issue is similar to the issue that I am having. I want to removed/edit/change the 'dot' between the thumbnail date and the excerpt. You can view this on the thumbnails on the home page and on the portfolio page. I need help to remove it.

read more stuff can be changed in the bf_excerpts function in theme-functions.php (in library functions).
