Older/Newer post link causes a "Page Not Found" error

Fixed this myself. I changed my permalink setting. Reseting them to default fixed the problem.

However now every external link to the previous permalinks are now giving me page not found errors. Is this making sense? Can some please help me fix my permlink issue? After switching to permalinks, clicking on "older post" results in a page not found error message.
Any guidance is extremely appreciated.

adminI have tested this now with 3.2.1, changed the permalink structure a couple of times, but this does not occur for me. Save the permalink structure again, some plugins requires that. You can also deactivate the page numbers plugin to see if works without it (also test with the wp-pagenavi plugin).
