i was wondering how to remove the date below my thumbnails on my front page under 'freshly pressed'. I already unchecked the box 'date' in the settings. but it still shows.

adminthere's 2 theme settings for thumbnail dates "Show Meta info for Thumbnail posts" and "Add Date to the Thumbnail posts text".
Looking at your website... and that is outputted by the bfthumbs shortcode. you need to edit the page in html mode and remove the meta="true" parameter from the bfthumbs shortcode (or uncheck meta from the shortcode editor gui).
