Hi Roger, I just rolled 1.3.1 on my site after some testing and little CSS tweaks. Now that i run it i notice the tweetmeme plugin button that i use is missing on single post pages – but shows on the front page… might that be related to the new option you added?

The button doesn’t show even when i check the option on

Just noticed that the share this button is use is also having the same problem - shows on front page - missing in single post... only thing i changed was the theme.

I did some changes with the tweetmeme integration, you have to set the type to "the compact widget", since it is now shown in the post meta area. More info here.

Addthis is working, not sure what's up with sharethis.

Did that edit to the Tweetmeme plug - but the problem remains, any thoughts?

but it shows in the meta section? it's not supposed to be shown in the posts...

By meta section, what do you refer to? i would like it to show on single post pages too... that is were i need it the most - and the tweetmeme plug allow this, your theme seems to block this feature?

It shows on single pages, but you have to set it up like I have instructed here. Meta is where the date, author, category etc. is shown. The retweet button is enabled in the "Meta Information" section of the theme settings too now.

Great implementation of the retweet button into the meta bar - I think it has some teething problems as this is what it looks like for me

yep did that too.

When the page loads, the first half a second it appears as it does in your picture ...then the styling disappears and the button appears like my image. Just tried it in Firefox and Chrome.

Also from my image you can see the alignment is off...hmmm I'm thinking maybe a CSS issue?

I haven't made any changes to any files by the way, I did a fresh upgrade - i do everything in the theme settings

Still not working for me the way it is for you - i think it's best to have an option for the plugin to work as it did and opt for the new way you code it. as it is now tweetmeme stoped to work like it did for me and i haven't got the button in single posts.

Don't know why it's not working

I think it's strange that it is not working for you. It works in all browsers on 2 servers for me. I would like to take a look at an example where it is not working, to find an explanation. So a url would be helpful....

I see you also have a tweetmeme button in the post. For the one in the meta area to work the position must be set to manual, but it is still strange that it displays something in the meta area while it's not in manual. There is no iframe or anything there, it almost seems like this is another plugin. I call the function tweetmeme(), so if there is some other function with that name there will be a conflict. I suggest to deactivate all plugins but tweetmeme to see if this changes anything.

You're right, it's a plugin conflict, I had 2 Twitter plugins for seperate tasks however one seemed to also have a retweet feature. Fixed now. Perfect thanks :)

Well, i moved to 1.3.2 and the retweet button works well now. one suggestion though - i would put it first in the meta info area before the date. this green button has an important function and a rather big visual que in the theme so it should always remain in the same position relative to the post entry structure... if one has many categories and tags for a post then currently the button moves too much right and left and also down a line.

I agree with ronenbekerman, I think that's a good suggestion - if the categories are too long the retweet button ends up on another line. Placing it at the beginning would solve this.
