I installed the yarpp plugin on my site (www.overdose.am) as explained here:http://www.vfxdude.com/bigfeature/2009/07/setting-up-the-theme/ and have my theme settings set to show related posts as thumbnails. It doesn't seem to work for some reason.

When setting the yarpp settings to “Display using a custom template file” do I have to select a certain setting from the dropdown menu next to it?

1. "Show Related posts below articles" must be enabled.
2. in the plugin settings, choose "Display using a custom template file" and choose the "yarpp-template-bf.php" in the "Template file" dropdown menu, and save.

I'm having the same issues as Rob did.

I followed your steps above, and I'm not getting anywhere.
I can get the the "Show Recent posts below articles" to work
but not "Show Related posts below articles".

The version of YARPP I have is (v.3.2.1)

Any thoughts?

Are there certain criteria that needs to be met for posts to show?

If it makes any difference I am able get this to show up...

Didn't know if it maybe some sort of timthumb thing.

by default the yarpp template doesn't show show the related posts as thumbnails, it's just after you enable the "Show related posts as thumbnail posts" they will show as thumbnails.

If you are using a child theme you have to copy the yarpp-template-bf.php file into the child theme folder. more info.
