first, i want to tell you that i really like this bigFeature theme, and you really did a amazing job.
I am pretty new to wordpress and this bigfeature theme, and just started watching all the video tutorials on your website. However, i still dont get where i should really start setting up. I did most of the stuff like uploading a setup data file, and tried to follow what you were doing in the video.

My question is, i know there are different layouts for each pages(like portfolio, slides, etc) If i want to put bunch of photos as a slides or portfolio layout, do i have to creat "slides" pages each time? Is there a way i can just make a post about those photos and goes directly into slides without using any of those codes on your website?

I am really confused, but still trying to get used to this wordpress and bigfeature, so please help me out

templates like portfolio, blogposts, thumbnails take a category (ID or name) as custom field parameter and shows all posts in that category. Same for the bfthumbs shortcode. Read this article for more information.

The slider shortcode can display pages or posts, it can take a page name or a category name (type must be set to category for posts to be displayed). It displays posts in a preformatted format, but there are different parameters to change the layout of the posts in the slider (it can show a full width default image (imagesize="feature") with or without caption, or display a smaller default image (imagesize="normal") and text preview of the post). Read this for more information (check out the example shortcodes).
