Hi there.
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but when I put anything other than text in there the tab disappears. Also I can't get the text to follow my styles. http://new.docbc.org/about/history/ (there should be 3 tabs)

The Documentary Organization of Canada (DOC) is the largest professional non-profit association of independent filmmakers in Canada, with more than 850 members across the country. Formerly called the CIFC (Canadian Independent Film Caucus), DOC has been the champion of independent documentary film and television in Canada since 1983.

The CIFC/DOC’s first lobbying effort was directed at what was then the Canadian Broadcast Program Development Fund (administered by the predecessor of Telefilm Canada). The rallying issue was the fund’s exclusion of documentaries in its mandate. With a membership of only fourteen filmmakers from 10 production companies at the time, CIFC/DOC succeeded in establishing a fund exclusively to support documentary filmmakers which continues to this day. DOC has been built on the efforts of many tireless volunteers, who have given their time and shared their passion to shape the vibrant documentary community we have today.

Founding of the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival (Link to http://www.hotdocs.ca), the premier documentary festival in North America

Founding of POV (link to http://www.povmagazine.com/), the only Canadian journal covering documentaries and independent films made in Canada and abroad

DOC-Discussion listserv – an exclusive, active, online community (available to DOC members only). DOC-Discussion provides a national forum for sharing the latest news, helping to find crew, keeping up on events, and discussing the state of the industry.

Exclusive Production Insurance and E&O program (available to DOC members only). This program is designed for Canadian documentary producers, and provides steep discounts on a variety of insurance coverage options.

DOCspace (link to docspace.ca/) – DOC members enjoy preferred access to DOCspace, a searchable database and library for documentaries, and soon to be an online distribution network. (maybe we should have a drop menu for this?)

Continuing to raise the profile of independent documentary production in Ottawa through successful advocacy actions that include consulting with the Canada Media Fund (link to http://www.cmf-fmc.ca/), and advocating for independent documentary funding from private and public broadcasters.

DOCTalk – Doc BC has over a number of years hosted an event that brought together international broadcasters and distributors, and included a Pitch Fest West component that allowed members to pitch their projects to international decision makers. Last year, DocTalk partnered with Vancouver International Film Festival and was supported by BC Film and Roger’s to bring a day of one-on-one meetings and esteemed panelists to an engaged audience.

Stay tuned for more info on our upcoming DocTalk event as it takes a different shape – plans for a new event in 2011 are in the works.
