TEXT IN THE SEARCH FORM

How do i add text to prompt my guests to search in the search box on top of my website.
I am referring to this search box on top of the frontpage snapshot above!

id like to add text like the 'start searching' in the search box below...
or whatever equivalent is built in the theme...something 'like search by name...'

edit searchform.php:

replace this:
<?php if($_REQUEST['s']!=='') echo $_REQUEST['s']; ?>

with this:
<?php if(!empty($_REQUEST['s'])) echo $_REQUEST['s']; else echo 'Start Searching ...'; ?>
