Top Nav Pages Disappear when Updating

Sup vfxdude,

So I searched the forums and found other people with similar problems, but running older versions—and I didn't find a solution.

Whenever i update a page, the page's parent disappears from my TopNav. I have to go Theme Settings>Navigation and drag/drop the parent back into the TopNav area every single time I update any page. This becomes extremely annoying and tedious!! I'm wasting a ton of time having to constantly do this.

I am running BF v1.3.5.1, WP V2.9.2 and running a child css theme (that literally only has a custom body bg and dropcap).

I just realized this is a much more critical problem, as I have coworkers who are writing blog posts with only "author" user levels. If they publish a post, which they can do whenever they want, my TopNav breaks and I may not be available to immediately fix it.

any suggestions?

enable the "Remove the add pages checkbox (from the pages admin)". This was an earlier issue that was fixed, so it's a bit strange that it's occurring in the new version. Could be that the upgrade did not overwrite all the files, that happens. 1.3.5.2 is out now so you can upgrade to that one. some changes in that functionality was made there, but that was for WP3.0 compability though. If you can't get it to work email me a wp user (admin rights) so I can take a look at it.

seems to have worked with that one checkbox enabled, can't thank you enough! I will be upgrading at some point, but everything seems to be working perfectly right now ("if it ain't broke, don't fix it...")
