Use of third party slider, control panel options for site configuration

I have two quick questions.

1. Can I use a third party premium slider with Big Feature, such as the Thumbel Slider:

2. What options if are there in the control panel for changing the over site width and column widths?

Scratch question 2, I have my answer to that and thankfully it's positive!

Still keen to learn about using third-party sliders and to what degree that's supported. Significant hand coding is not my forte!

1. yes. This is a plugin and you can use it's shortcode to add it anywhere.
