I've some problem with vertical photos setted as Feature Images. While the horizonal images work correctly (so it doesn't seams to be a timthumb problem), vertical images are not showing at all at the top of the post. The resolution of the vertical images when cropped in Wordpress are 512x768.
What could be the problem and how to resolve it?

feature images will have the same width as the container. If it's wider than that it will be resized to fit with timthumb, and if it's not that wide it will be displayed in the content area instead. If you want custom sized images you can use the photoblog template since images there can have any sizes. Also thumbnail posts added with the bfthumbs shortcode can have any size.
Mhm, I'm still not understand the issue that I have.
My vertical images are not wider than 848 (or in my chase 900px since I've changed the template size) they are only longer in the heigh. I'm using article post to put the images and then a bfthumbs code that show them to another page witch I can't set to "photoblog templete". You can see what I mean visiting my page:

At the end of the page, in the section "Photoblog", you can see that all the first two raws of photos that are horizonal show correctly when you click on the title of the photo, the last raw that has vertical photos, when you click on the title do not show the picture...

the vertical images have a width of 512px, and your content area is 650px (the minimum width for them to be shown above the title. and they have to be 900px to be shown as featured images). You can resize the sidebar or add widgets to the second one so that the content area shrinks (it is calculated like this: content = container - (sidebar1 + sidebar2 + sidebar margin)).
